The 14 highest peaks on Earth, including Everest and Annapurna, all lie in the Himalaya. These peaks are collectively known as the 8,000ers and are represented by a 14 encapsulated within our logo.

On May 12th, 2005, Ed Viesturs became the first American to summit all 14 of the 8,000 meter peaks. He did so without the use of supplemental oxygen - putting him in a stratospheric category of mountaineers. To this day, Viesturs is still the only American to claim this feat.
