NICE QUALITY DOWN JACKET
I have had sometime with the jacket. I would truly rate it 4 1/2 stars and not 5 stars, but there is no way to rate it graphically as such. I am very happy with it. It fits as expected and it is warm for the fill type and price point. I really like the Moonlit Teal color. It is nicer than what the photo shows. (The photo's on the website could be updated to highlight the jackets true colors losing the black background and "drama" the photographer is trying to exude). Anyway, the jacket is lightweight and packs small into its own stuff sack in the left outside pocket. It has some nice features as well, adjustable hood, suitable to wear with a climbing helmet and drawstring hem to keep the cold air out. It also has elastic trim on the hood and cuffs with "Himali" embossing, a nice touch. The outside pockets are high enough to access while wearing a climbing harness. They provide easy access, they are deep and comfortable as well. There is a small zippered inside pocket, only large enough to hold a phone. The rip stop nylon shell is water repellant and the 700 fill down is hydrophilic, so it doesn't get water logged. I have not worn it in the rain, so I can't rate how waterproof it might be. I also like the microfiber at the front inside the collar for a cozy, warm, chin when the jacket is zipped up. I'd like to have in future iterations of the jacket, an inside stuff pocket and an inside chest pocket. I really miss having a large inside pocket to keep my climbing shoes warm, while belaying. Currently, there is just a small zippered pocket where one would normally have a stuff pocket. Also, I'm not sure why, but the jacket has an odd odor, kind of like wet feathers? I'm assuming the it will dissipate eventually. To me, these are small things overall. It is a nice jacket and almost perfect! I would purchase it again. I hope this review helps anyone considering purchasing the jacket.
